Advanced Surf Guiding at Greenbowl, Bali

The southern swell hitting the Greenbowl reef served up waves much larger than many of the surrounding west-facing breaks this morning, and that’s where our advanced group of surfers headed for their first session of the day.

Waves were clean and coming through between shoulder-high and well overhead and all of our surfers had a great — and at times challenging — session.

After their fill of waves, everybody made their way back up the famous Green Bowl stairs and back to camp for their very well-deserved breakfast.

Intermediate Surf Lessons and Advanced Guiding at Temple, Bali

Our intermediate and advanced groups caught the boat at dawn this morning down to Temple at the end of the Uluwatu reef for their first surf session of the morning.

The intermediate group stayed at the north end of the reef where the waves were slightly softer and more forgiving and the advanced guiding group sat further up the reef where it was shallower and hollower.

After returning to camp for breakfast both groups surfed their second sessions of the day at Uluwatu.

Intermediate Surfing Lessons at Uluwatu

It was intermediate-friendly fun at Uluwatu again this morning as swell height was relatively small for the second day in a row.

Light onshore winds meant that the waves were still very clean and everyone was taking advantage of Uluwatu’s long peeling walls during their lessons.

Elsewhere, our advanced guiding group surfed at Gunung Payung where the more exposed break provided more challenging waves.
