A rainy morning does not have to make you sad or lazy. Here in Bali, it often means great waves and fewer people in the water! A good opportunity to have a fun surfing session to start the day in paradise.

The swell forecast predicts smaller waves for the next few days, but a new, bigger swell is about to arrive on Thursday. Until then we will enjoy our home spot Padang Padang as well as Uluwatu and Balangan. When the new swell arrives, other spots like Toro Toro and Dreamland will be on fire again. So many surf breaks to choose from, and with our local knowledge, we always know what the best spot is for the day’s conditions.

What a great afternoon session our advanced group had today! Head-high waves were breaking perfectly at Dreamland beach. The right-handers were great to practice bottom and top turns as well as generating speed around the breaking section.

This wave is not the longest, but one of the most fun! The take-off is fast and the first section of the wall is quite steep, perfect for a committed top turn. This A-frame only breaks on a low tide. When the tide gets too high the waves almost disappear. Then, the shore break on the left side of the peak gets fun. Here you can practice other maneuvers like floaters and airs. Dreamland has something for everyone, and also for the sunseekers who prefer to stay on the beach.

A new swell arrived during the night and the waves are bigger than the last two days at Padang Padang. Due to the high tide early in the morning, the conditions were challenging because of the stronger current and more powerful waves.

Nevertheless, with effort and commitment, it was possible to catch many great waves. On days like this, patience is more important than usual, because choosing the right wave is crucial to having a good ride. With the help of our professional surf instructors, you can be sure to catch the good ones even though it can be difficult to spot them.

Surf’s up and our home spot Padang Padang was very enjoyable despite the small swell today. Clean right and left-handers offered many great rides and everyone got plenty of waves. If you are looking for a place to improve your wave-catching skills, this is where you would want to be.

There are many reasons why this surf spot is so popular among beginner and intermediate surfers. One of them is that it is perfectly suitable to catch your first green waves. Not only that but also to start doing your first turns after the pop-up. The gentle breaking waves give you enough time to think about every step you do and to focus on your technique. Balangan was super fun this morning! Clean, mellow, but long waves were breaking at this beautiful surf spot. Perfect for our intermediate group to practice catching waves and going left. The swell has dropped a little more since yesterday, but it is still big enough to get head-high sets coming through from time to time.

We expect the waves to be like this until tomorrow, then a new swell will arrive and we are looking forward to having bigger surf again. Places like Toro Toro and Airport Rights are on our list for the upcoming days. Everybody is excited and can’t wait to go out there and get some amazing rides. The high season is slowly coming to an end, but no lack of swell is in sight. Bali has waves year-round and great conditions for all surf levels.

Padang Padang was great this morning for our beginner group. The shoulder-high waves were breaking perfectly and catching them was easy due to the gently breaking peaks. On waves like this, with the help of our surf instructors, progress can be made immediately.

Taking it forward step by step is important to achieve your goals, whatever they might be. In surfing, it is especially so. Knowing the limits of yourself and your surfing ability can be tough in the beginning. This is something you need to find out in small steps in order to have fun out there. Our home spot is perfect to test your limits and challenge yourself in a safe environment.

What a beautiful morning this was today! We could not ask for more than we already had. Blue skies, crystal clear water, and perfect waves right in front of us. It was so much fun to share the waves with our friends and fellow surfers. Everyone got waves and everyone was happy.

After two massive days at Uluwatu, the swell has dropped a little, and head-high to overhead sets came through consistently. Still solid, but possible to surf for the more experienced surfers. It takes commitment to go out in these conditions and it is important to know your limits.

With big waves like this, being patient and choosing the right wave is key to having a good and safe surf session. Wave reading skills get tested thoroughly. Knowing which wave to let through and which one to take can only be mastered over time and with experience. If the waves are too big, best to watch from the beach and study the sets.
