Intermediate surf guiding at Uluwatu
★★★★★
Excellent intermediate-level surfing across the island today. Days like today are why people come here in the wet season. At Uluwatu, our intermediate surfers enjoyed beautifully peeling lines across the reef with glassy conditions. The waves were overhead high with the occasional larger set, coming from a swell of 3 ft. at 16 seconds from 237 degrees. The surfers worked on matching their speed to the changes in pace of the wave, and executing improved turns on open sections.
Today was the first time this year we had the combination of glassy conditions and a long-period swell. March and April should serve up many more days just like today, which is why now is the perfect time for an intermediate surfer to come to Bali. Tomorrow is looking like another great day of surf.
