Ability Level: Advanced

This morning our intermediate and advanced groups headed to the famous peaks of Uluwatu for their surf lessons and guiding sessions.

Waves were breaking in the shoulder to head high range with a few larger sets coming in well overhead. As you can see from the variety in today’s gallery, there were barrel and air sections on offer, some glassy walls and plenty of smiling faces.

After breakfast, our intermediate and advanced surfers were in the water again at Dreamland, while our other intermediate and beginner groups surfed at Toro Toro and Padang Padang.

This morning our intermediate and advanced groups headed over to Nusa Dua to surf at Geger Reef’s lesser-known neighbour Geger Lefts for lessons and surf guiding.

Wave height was in the shoulder to overhead range as the sun rose over Bali, backlighting the waves and creating another picture-postcard morning here in paradise.

Elsewhere at the surf camp this morning, our intermediates and beginners groups surfed at Dreamland and Padang Padang, so there was — as always — something on offer for all ability levels.

Today’s report comes from Nikko where our intermediate and advanced groups headed for surfing lessons and guiding.

A beautiful spot on the south coast of the Bukit peninsular named after the hotel, Nikko was offering up waves from waist high to head high this morning, for our guests’ second surf session of the day.

Following a grey start to the morning, the clouds burned away to leave us with a bright, sunny day, and light cross-offshore winds kept the waves clean for the whole session.

After a busy morning of surfing, our guests headed back to the camp for their delicious daily lunch.

Our advanced surf guiding and intermediate surf lessons groups headed back to Toro Toro this morning where they located themselves by ability level. The advanced group surfed the main wave on the outside and the intermediates enjoyed the friendlier waves on the inside.

Light onshore winds resulted in a small amount of chop in the water but conditions were still very clean and everyone had a great session. Our surfers refuelled at camp for breakfast before heading back out for their second sessions of the day to Dreamland and Padang Padang.

After lunch today, our guests will be treated to a free workshop on freediving and breath-hold training by Shane Tierney, a Master Freedive and Survival Apnea Instructor.

This morning our intermediate and advanced groups jumped in the boat at Jimbaran bay and headed out the short distance to Toro Toro.

The waves were coming through at a nice size but not as consistently as we would have liked, so our expert surf guides made the call for the advanced group to move over to the higher-performance waves of Airport Lefts — ensuring all our guests had the opportunity to surf the waves best-suited to their abilities.

Everybody had a great session with some particularly long rides and a great time was had by all.

This morning our advanced and intermediate group headed to Uluwatu to have surf lessons there. Conditions are excellent today, bright sunny day with fresh offshore wind everything promised really fun session. Swell is a bit bigger than yesterday and waves are clean, shoulder high to head high size. Super fun and perfect for our surfers to exhibit their surf skills.

Our beginners at the same time enjoyed their surf lessons at Dreamland beach this morning. Very comfortable conditions for beginners surf lessons. Not so busy and waves are waist high to chest high. Seems like someone had really nice surf sessions this morning.

This morning our advanced group of surfers were up at dawn to make their way to the south coast of the Bukit peninsular where the reef exposed by the low tide was putting the “green” in Greenball.

Waves were coming through in the head-high to overhead range on sets with long glassy walls and light wind.

After conquering the famous Greenball stairs, everyone headed back to camp to enjoy their well-earned breakfast before a second session of surf guiding.

After the increase in swell height overnight, it was the turn of the advanced group to enjoy the A-frames at Dreamland beach this morning. Wave size ranged from chest to overhead with very little wind resulting in long glassy walls with the occasional barrel on offer.
