Bali Surf Report and Surf Forecast

The tide and light wind combined perfectly this morning for our intermediate group to enjoy a dawn session at Uluwatu for their first surf lesson of the day.

With relatively few surfers spread across Uluwatu’s different peaks, there were plenty of waves available to be enjoyed by everyone from long peeling walls on the main peak where the bigger sets were breaking along to the racetrack section which was slightly smaller but offering some barrels.

After a quick stop back at the surf camp for breakfast the group surfed their second session of the day again at Uluwatu while our beginner group surfed both sessions at Padang Padang.

Another beautiful sunrise lit the way for our beginner and intermediate group as they hopped in the boat this morning out to Toro Toro alongside the airport runway for their first session of lessons for the day.

Waves were slightly larger than yesterday and — much to the delight of everybody —  just as clean and quiet as the group all enjoyed plenty of long rides along what is one of the surf camp’s favourite waves.

As our beginner and intermediate groups jumped on the boat at Jimbaran bay this morning and made their way out to the reef at Toro Toro, they were in for a treat as the sky was lit by another stunning sunrise.

No wind and the perfect-sized swell for the group resulted in glassy waves peeling perfectly along into the channel between waist and shoulder-high.

Bali is noticeably quiet with the current travel restrictions so if you’re looking for your own slice of uncrowded perfection, this is what’s waiting for you!

With a similar dawn low tide to yesterday, our intermediate group headed to dreamy Dreamland again this morning where a beautiful sunrise lit the scene for their day’s first session of surfing lessons.

The waves were a little slow coming but as our group were just about the only ones in the water, they each had plenty of opportunities to catch some set waves which were breaking around shoulder-high.

After breakfast back at the camp, the group will surf their second session at Balangan as the morning low tide pushes back in.

With the very low tide coinciding with dawn — our favourite time of the day to be in the water here at the surf camp — Dreamland was the spot of choice for today’s intermediate surf lessons and guiding.

It’s clear from the photos what great progress everyone is making and they all had a great session enjoying the clean and learner-friendly waves that were breaking in the waist to shoulder-high range on sets.

After enjoying breakfast and a little break the group just left for their second session at Balangan.

Our intermediate group headed to Dreamland this morning for their first session of surfing lessons where the conditions weren’t quite as good as we’d hoped with a few too many waves closing out.

Surfing on the main beach rather than the A-frame as we normally do, the group got to enjoy waves breaking both left and right in the clean early morning conditions.

After breakfast the group plan to surf their second session at Padang Padang or Balangan.

For the second time this week, our intermediate group made their way down the Greenbowl stairs this morning for their first session of group lessons and, as you can see from the pictures, our expert surf instructors knew exactly where the waves would at their best.

Breaking between shoulder and head-high on sets, the waves were clean and glassy thanks to the windless start to the day and everybody caught some great rides.

After breakfast, the group surfed again at Balangan for their second session of the day

This morning our intermediate group were up early to catch the boat from Padang Padang to the far end of the Uluwatu reef to surf at Temple, one of the surf camp’s favourite spots.

Joined by a few other surfers who’d made the paddle rather than catching the boat the group enjoyed plenty of waves during their session of lessons and surf guiding in the chest to head-high range as the tide pushed in.

After a pit-stop back at camp for breakfast, the group were out again shortly after for their second session of the day at Padang Padang.
