Intermediate surf guiding at Balangan

It was an exciting session this morning at Balangan with overhead waves and steady offshore winds shaping the faces nicely. The sets were consistent, with clean sections along the reef for those who selected their waves well. Surfers who positioned themselves wisely had plenty of opportunities to link multiple turns through the well-defined walls. With the size, the lineup was a bit quieter, making it easier to pick off the better waves.

A large late-season swell is arriving tonight, pushing the exposed Bukit breaks into double-overhead territory. Tomorrow, we’ll shift our focus to the more sheltered spots for fun and manageable conditions. Stay safe and ready for a solid day of surfing ahead.

Intermediate surf guiding at Balangan

Fun waves at Balangan this morning! The surf has dropped in size since yesterday, but there were plenty of clean, fun waves coming through. The surf was in the head-high range, with a few larger set waves. The rising tide was slowing down the pace of the waves, perfect for our intermediate surfers. The wind was very calm at first light, with the offshore trade wind building through the session. The surfers worked on identifying when to speed up and when to slow down, which is an essential skill for extending your rides. It was a fun, relaxed session, and everyone had a great time.

We have a powerful swell filling in now. See you out there!

Beginner Surf Lessons at Padang Padang

Excellent surf conditions this morning at Bali’s easiest wave! Our beginners were out getting great waves at first light. The conditions were perfect, with just the right amount of swell and a great tide. The morning was dead calm, with the offshore wind picking up as sun rose. The lefts were lining up beautifully for lengthy rides. The rights offered a soft shoulder with a slower ride, perfect for those just learning to get to their feet.

Padang Padang is the perfect place to develop your core technique. If you wish to make progress, it is essential that you take the time to learn the correct paddling technique, how to pop up, and the functional stance.

Advanced surf guiding at Uluwatu

Excellent surfing conditions at Uluwatu this morning! Our intermediate and advanced surfers paddled out at first light into perfectly clean lefts breaking below the stunning cliffs. The wind was blowing lightly offshore and the sea state was very smooth. The waves were in the overhead range on the largest of sets, with plenty of shoulder-high waves mixed in. The intermediate surfers took the smaller and slower-moving rides from the shoulder. The advanced surfers sat deep on the peak, waiting for the fast and powerful ones offering racing walls and barrel sections.

We have a powerful swell filling in tomorrow afternoon. Monday and Tuesday morning are looking very good. See you out there!

Advanced surf guiding at Uluwatu

Clean and consistent surf greeted surfers at Uluwatu this morning. The waves were mostly in the overhead range, with occasional barrel sections for the most skilled and committed surfers. The shifting seasons brought some texture to the lineup, but overall conditions remained good with clean faces. Light and variable winds changed slightly as the session progressed but didn’t impact the wave quality. As the tide pushed in, the pace of the waves slowed slightly, offering more opportunities for turns.

We are seeing signs of the seasons changing here in Bali. The consistent trade wind is starting to break down, the water is getting a little warmer, and the swells are getting smaller. See you out there!

Advanced surf guiding at Uluwatu

Our intermediate and advanced surfers headed for Uluwatu at first light for some fun-sized lefts (and rights). The waves were mostly in the head-high range, with a few larger sets coming in occasionally. The wind was blowing very light offshore, and the water is starting to warm up just a little. The line-up was very clean, and the waves were breaking at a slower pace than usual at The Racetrack. It was a great day for working on your turns, as the wave allowed time for a deep bottom turn to set up your best top turns.

We have a new swell arriving today. This afternoon, Monday, and Tuesday are looking great! See you out there!

Beginner Surf Lessons at Padang Padang

Excellent surf conditions this morning at Padang Padang! The swell was just the right size for surfers just learning to ride the waves. The weather was perfect, with just a touch of offshore wind and a smooth sea state. The waves were in the waist-high range, and the tide was just right. The surfers used the slow, consistent waves to learn to feel how a surfboard moves through the water, and the importance of utilizing the functional stance to ride the waves with balance and control.

We have several days coming up with excellent surf conditions for new surfers. Easy days like today are exactly what a new surfer needs to make lasting improvements.

Advanced surf guiding at Uluwatu

This morning’s session at Uluwatu was a lot of fun for our advanced surfers. The swell has eased into a more manageable size, with light offshore winds creating perfect conditions. The atmosphere in the lineup was relaxed, and the water was cool and clear. The surf was mostly in the overhead range, with occasional larger sets hinting at the incoming swell expected later today. We enjoyed the entire session on a rising tide without the tide getting too high, making the most of the morning’s favourable conditions.

Expect several days of powerful swells from today. The standout breaks in the Uluwatu area will be reserved for experts only from this afternoon through Monday.

Advanced surf guiding at Imposible

We are seeing much smaller surf this morning after yesterday’s large swell. With Uluwatu still breaking at Outside Corner and The Bombie, our advanced group paddled out at Impossibles chasing those famous long lefts. The surf was mostly in the overhead range with a few larger set waves. The Tradewind was light offshore, creating clean conditions with no noticeable current. The waves were breaking quickly, but the best ones offered extended rides down the reef.

Impossibles is one of the longest left-handers in Bali when everything comes together. With the right tide, swell, wind direction, and good wave selection, you can get some very long rides.
