Bali Surf Report and Surf Forecast

What a beautiful morning this was today! We could not ask for more than we already had. Blue skies, crystal clear water, and perfect waves right in front of us. It was so much fun to share the waves with our friends and fellow surfers. Everyone got waves and everyone was happy.

We are sure that you would want to try again and again. So many of us started the same way and got hooked right after the first surf lesson. After two massive days at Uluwatu, the swell has dropped a little, and head-high to overhead sets came through consistently. Still solid, but possible to surf for the more experienced surfers. It takes commitment to go out in these conditions and it is important to know your limits.

With big waves like this, being patient and choosing the right wave is key to having a good and safe surf session. Wave reading skills get tested thoroughly. Knowing which wave to let through and which one to take can only be mastered over time and with experience. If the waves are too big, best to watch from the beach and study the sets. Also this way you can improve your wave reading skills and one day be ready for the big challenge.

The Bukit was on fire today! The big swell did not disappoint and delivered world-class waves at one of the lesser-known surf spots of Bali. This is a unique surf break, hidden away from the busy streets of Uluwatu and Kuta.

On a low tide, it gets hollow and gives plenty of possibilities to get barreled. But also turns, snaps, and other maneuvers are possible here. A versatile wave, so fun to ride and enjoy. It is special every time we come here. Not only because of the wave but also because of the way we get to the line-up. Dare to jump off the cliff and you are in the line-up, ready to catch some great waves.

The huge swell has fully arrived overnight and most of the surf spots on the Bukit are way too big to surf today. We decided to go to Jimbaran with our beginner and intermediate groups and it was great! Everyone was happy out there and surfed a lot of waves.

It is a very suitable beach to learn how to surf, but there are not always waves. Only when big swells arrive, this surf spot comes to life, and when it does shoulder-high sets are rolling in very consistently. This makes it a great spot to catch many waves and ride them as long as possible. The slow-breaking peaks are perfect to enjoy the ride and work on your surfing technique.

The new swell has arrived and will keep getting bigger throughout the day. This morning it was still a good size for our advanced group to surf at Dreamland. The A-frame in the middle of the beach is so much fun!

We got lucky, the crowd was very light, probably because most people thought it would still be too small. Good for us, as we almost had the waves to ourselves. It is a great wave to surf if you are looking to take the next step forward in your surfing career. The take-off is quite fast and exhilarating while the shoulder of the wave slows down and you have time to focus on turning. A perfect mix of excitement, practice, and fun!

Another great day started with a fun surf session at Padang Padang. The mellow waves were perfectly breaking and easy to ride. On days like today, progression can be made with every wave. The more time you spend on the surfboard and in the water, the better you will get.

Being patient is not easy, especially in surfing when you see all the good waves coming. But taking your time to choose that one perfect wave will pay off! One good wave is all it takes to get you smiling for the rest of the day. The swell turned out to be a bit bigger than expected today at our home spot Padang Padang. A more than welcomed surprise because the waves were just perfect! Left or right-handers, no matter what you prefer, you can get it here. A dream for every intermediate surfer.
