Intermediate surf guiding at Dreamland

What a great afternoon session at Dreamland today! The waves were pumping and the crowd wasn’t bad at all. A moderate offshore breeze gave the waves a perfect shape. Down the line surfing and big turns are what everyone was aiming for.

The blue water and white sand beach make the experience even better. Hang out at one of the beach bars and enjoy an ice-cold coconut after surfing or just relax on one of the day beds. It is a great beach to bring your family to. Just watch out for the shore break, it can be quite heavy on a higher tide and bigger swell and many local kids love to surf it.

Intermediate surf guiding at Dreamland

This beach is called “Dreamland” for a number of reasons. White sand, blue water, and great waves! This is a combination that is hard to beat. The surf spot offers plenty of waves for almost every surf level. Also for non-surfing beach goers, it is worth checking out.

On smaller days, beginner surfers can ride unbroken green waves while on bigger days, like today, the more advanced surfers will have a lot of fun. The user-friendly take-off and drop invite you to commit to paddling for bigger waves than you usually would. This is a wave where you can test your limits and see how big you can go. Enjoy the waves, the wipeouts, and the ice-cold coconut after the surf!

Intermediate surf guiding at Dreamland

The new swell has arrived and everyone is stoked to surf bigger waves again! From Uluwatu to Airports, the waves were on fire. On a swell like today, Uluwatu often is too big for the majority of surfers, but other spots like Impossibles, Balangan, and Dreamland come to life.

Dreamland is perfect on a bigger day and lower tide. The left-hander is suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers who don’t mind surfing in more challenging conditions. Even though some of the sets are bigger than you might think, the power of the wave is still manageable. The season has now changed and we are blessed with offshore-wind conditions all day long. So get your surf gear ready and we see you in the line-up!

Beginner Surf Lessons at Dreamland

There is a reason why this spot is called Dreamland. Its white sand and blue, crystal clear water is one reason, the other is the fun waves breaking not far from the shore. A surfers paradise for everyone who doesn’t like to paddle out too far but still wants to get quality waves. Especially for intermediate surfers, this break ticks all the boxes.

With its three different peaks, there is enough wave choice for all levels. Intermediate surfers will favor the smaller days on a lower tide, while advanced surfers want to come here when the waves are bigger. Eastern winds are best and the offshore conditions will shape the main peak into a perfect A-Frame. A great wave to step up and improve your surfing skills.

Advanced surf guiding at Dreamland

A large new swell was forecast for today, so we decided to do dawn patrol Dreamland. Only 2 of us out in the water on the A frame early, with some solid double overhead sets. The left was mostly breaking too fast, but there were some fun right handers, and if you picked the right one, it would go all the way to the beach. The mini lockdown seems to be over and seems all surf breaks are now open again. This is good news for bukit surfers, as the Canggu crowd seem to have gone back to Canggu. Late morning a few more people paddled out but was very quiet at Dreamland. Swell is forecast to be massive this afternoon, and big all week

Intermediate Surf Guiding at Dreamland, Bali

This morning we headed to Dreamland — one of our closest breaks — where the conditions were perfect for the intermediates.

With a little more shelter than some of the surrounding coastline, waves were breaking here on the main beach and the A-frame reef between waist and shoulder high with long lefts and rights to enjoy

The sun was out and with light winds the quite clean conditions made for a beautiful morning of waves for everyone

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Dreamland, Bali

With a solid swell and a low tide to start the day, Dreamland was the pick of the spots for the intermediate and advanced surfers this morning

With head-high sets breaking off both sides of the A-frame there were long hollow faces and even a few barrels up for grabs with relatively few surfers in the water

The current swell is expected to fade throughout the day tomorrow before a new swell will start to show what’s in store for the weekend

Dreamland Sunset Session

We took the camera down to Dreamland beach this evening for the sunset session where the low tide was serving up some fun little waves to end the day

Waves were breaking in the chest-high range with a medium offshore breeze keeping things nice and clean but requiring a little extra paddle-power on takeoff
