Nikko is located directly in front of 5* Nikko Hotel and has been the subject of recent controversy due to the breakwater built in the middle of the lineup. Greedy developers and corrupt politicians were two of the printable phrases used to describe this project that was completed in 2018.
There is still a rideable wave and the beach is very beautiful, located at the extreme south end of Nusa Dua. It was a secret spot for a long time but never popular with goofy footers as very fast. Still worth a visit on smaller days or on bigger days if you like fast-barrelling right-handers.
At the end of the reef, there is a slower wave that breaks into deep water and is suitable for intermediate surfers. On a decent swell, there is a peak towards at Pantai Sarwangan which is perfect for beginner surf lessons.
